Skills
- Proven experience designing and troubleshooting complex board-level electronics and mixed-signal circuits.
- Prior hands-on experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience in power electronics, converters, powertrain, or UAS electronics.
- Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred; Eagle and others acceptable).
- Competence using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current probes, thermal chambers and test automation.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI.
- Experience with EMI testing and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to design for challenging environmental conditions and perform environmental testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and validate Battery Management Systems (BMS) for autonomous vehicles.
- Perform vehicle-level integrations and full lifecycle hardware design from concept through production.
- Execute full-cycle PCB development: requirements gathering, schematic capture, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, test, and debug.
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment.
- Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews to ensure system integration and reliability.
- Build and test engine/system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
- Perform root cause analysis to support field operations and iterate on designs.
- Plan and execute EMI and environmental testing and address compliance issues.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
