Senior Manager Electrical Engineering (Compute/PCBs/VHDL)
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
- 7+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware.
- Proficiency in HDL (VHDL or Verilog) and FPGA/SoC architectures.
- Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA/SoM devices and common interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB.
- Experience in signal integrity and power integrity design and analysis.
- Competence with test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, thermal chamber, current probe) and automating tests.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an electrical engineering team focused on digital design and embedded compute solutions.
- Own the full PCB development cycle for host boards supporting FPGAs/SoCs/SoMs: requirements, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, test, and integration.
- Design and improve FPGA/HDL workflows including architecture, block definition, simulation, system testing, and HDL library standardization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create a scalable strategy for deploying compute solutions across the company.
- Create, maintain, and communicate detailed product development schedules and task ownership to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate hardware bring-up, validation, signal/power integrity analysis, and automated test development.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Advanced degree (MS) preferred but not required.
