Skills
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C++, Rust, Go, TypeScript preferred).
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis for simulation and telemetry.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex, legacy, and distributed codebases.
- Background in modeling & simulation, motion planning, or physics-informed systems.
- Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems and SITL.
- Familiarity with behavior trees, safety-critical flight software, and sensor fusion.
- Experience with distributed communication patterns and message standards.
- Strong debugging, monitoring, and instrumentation skills.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain software solutions deployed to customers, ensuring reliability and field readiness.
- Design, build, and scale simulation and SITL infrastructure that supports multi-capability Family of Systems analysis.
- Collaborate across product, engineering, operations, and mission teams to plan and deliver complex features.
- Write production-quality code to improve product capabilities and enable broader mission usage.
- Create and analyze metrics for debugging, monitoring, and system-level performance evaluation.
- Triage incidents, root-cause failures, and coordinate fixes and follow-up actions.
- Partner with end-users to convert operational needs into pragmatic features balancing UX and engineering constraints.
- Travel up to 30% to test, integrate, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Eligibility for U.S. security clearance preferred/required depending on role.
