- Ability to travel 10%–40% and be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
- Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance required
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize engineering BOMs to ensure parts are sourceable and meet cost targets
- Select, onboard, and develop suppliers to support Space & Intelligence product needs
- Drive on-time delivery and reduce lead times through creative supplier and supply network solutions
- Partner with suppliers on concept scoping, trade-offs, should-cost models, and joint design development
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs to ramp internal and supplier production
- Manage program total cost across NPI and mass production, leading cost engineering efforts
- Perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility of the supply network
- Complete BOM risk assessments, alternate sourcing, and component qualifications ahead of production
- Reduce complexity via component commonality and supplier rationalization
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs, import/export costs, inflation) and supply disruptions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field (required)
- Master's or advanced technical degree (preferred)
