Skills
- Deep, hands-on expertise designing and owning distributed systems architecture.
- Proven experience operating large-scale production systems with high availability and performance.
- Ability to make tradeoff decisions across security, latency, and extensibility requirements.
- Strong familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience leading programs from concept through delivery and sustaining software at scale.
- Experience deploying and operating distributed systems on major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong cross-functional leadership and customer-facing experience in technical programs.
Responsibilities
- Own divisional strategy, product definition, and roadmap for Menace Fabric from prototype to global release.
- Define and manage architecture and stack decisions balancing security, latency, extensibility, cost, and schedule.
- Coordinate cross-divisional engineering efforts and align roadmaps across Connected Warfare initiatives.
- Deliver rapid prototypes and early releases to customers and internal teams; iterate based on operational feedback.
- Ensure production-grade scalability, high availability, and remote sustainment of deployed solutions.
- Recruit, build, and lead engineering teams, set engineering standards, and mentor senior engineers.
- Partner with senior leadership to secure resources, manage program risk, and report on technical progress.
- Support customer engagements and travel (~10%) to customer and test sites as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering or a natural sciences field.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
