Sr. Program Reliability Engineer
Skills
- Project management and technical coordination for complex programs
- Reliability assessment and flight-worthiness evaluation
- Customer-facing communication and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with launch vehicle processing and operations
- Scripting or programming experience (SQL and/or Python)
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work extended hours for launch support
- Ability to pass required background checks (Air Force/Cape Canaveral/Vandenberg)
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute flight worthiness assessments across all phases of launch vehicle build
- Serve as primary point of contact for government customers regarding reliability and navigation questions
- Develop tools, methodologies, and process improvements to standardize and streamline assessments
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to answer technical questions and close customer issues
- Create technical content for briefs and technical interchange meetings (TIMs)
- Track program performance metrics and drive customer questions to closure
- Plan, schedule, and staff customer factory tours relevant to reviewed hardware
- Represent SpaceX Quality and Build Reliability organization to government customers and ensure contractual compliance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field (preferred but not required)
