- Mixed-signal PCB design and layout
- Power electronics design and power distribution systems
- FPGA and high-speed digital design (SerDes, DDR4, multi-GHz interfaces)
- Hardware bring-up, test, troubleshooting and debugging
- Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, ADCs/DACs, and DRAM interfaces
- Programming for hardware validation (Python, C/C++)
- Systems-level thinking and cross-functional collaboration
- Understanding of RF/antenna integration and satellite avionics
Responsibilities
- Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout oversight
- Design, develop, and test highly reliable mixed-signal and power electronics for satellite avionics and payloads
- Prototype, perform hardware bring-up, debug electronics, and support production test and manufacturing
- Partner closely with mechanical, thermal, software, test, supply chain, and silicon teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Analyze flight and lab data to iterate and improve hardware designs
- Evaluate third-party electrical and integration solutions for reliable satellite operation
- Support satellite integration, flight preparation, and on-orbit reliability efforts
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree in a related engineering field (preferred)
