- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes (plating, etching, drilling, lamination, cleanroom equipment)
- Root cause analysis and yield improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with automation and integration of manufacturing cells
- Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design for manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for PCB production (drilling, lamination, plating, etching, printing, automation, etc.)
- Perform physics-based analysis of production machinery and processes to drive robust designs
- Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) and defect characterization to establish stable, high-yield processes
- Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analyses for new machines or process changes
- Activate, test, commission, and hand off machines to production with engineering and technician teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to part quality, machine reliability, and process stability
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
