Skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- 1-3 years collections and/or customer service experience
- Strong phone-based customer support and negotiation skills
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations and maintain professionalism
- Proficiency with PC, CRM systems and common software applications
- Excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and dependable attendance
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned customer accounts by monitoring payments and identifying business-building and risk-management opportunities
- Communicate primarily via phone (and email secondarily) to collect payments, negotiate arrangements, and resolve discrepancies
- Provide professional, empathetic customer service on inbound and outbound calls and de-escalate tense situations
- Approve orders for assigned accounts and support teammates as needed
- Work within established credit terms and credit limits; gather information to support credit line reviews
- Maintain accurate customer records and document all communications in systems
- Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and follow company policies and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college or related coursework preferred but not required
