Skills
- Deep experience in power electronics design for harsh/mission-critical environments
- Expertise with battery systems and power distribution architectures
- Proficiency in eCAD tools (Altium or equivalent) and board-level design
- Proven experience with hardware bring-up, test, validation, and data-driven debugging
- Ability to work in tightly cross-functional teams and lead technical decisions
- Familiarity with qualification processes for flight hardware and production transitions
Responsibilities
- Lead product lifecycle for high-power avionics from concept through board bring-up, verification, qualification, and flight production
- Design and architect battery systems, power distribution, converters, motor controllers, and related high-voltage/current electronics
- Perform hardware bring-up, validation testing, debugging, and post-test data analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with propulsion, GNC, mechanical, thermal, and software teams to ensure integrated system performance
- Develop documentation, test plans, qualification artifacts, and manufacturing handoff packages
- Support vehicle integration, flight operations, and resolution of in-field anomalies
- Drive design for reliability and manufacturability in avionics hardware
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (required)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related discipline is a plus
