Skills
- Experience with powder bed fusion metal printing and post-processing
- Process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to create SOPs, work instructions, and safety protocols
- Familiarity with SPC, DOE, and statistical process control methods
- Experience working within ISO/AS9100 or ISO9000 (or equivalent) quality systems
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Support installation, commissioning, and operation of additive post-processing manufacturing equipment
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and safety protocols for additive manufacturing and post-processing
- Define and establish process flow to meet production rate and quality goals
- Communicate roadblocks to team leaders and technicians to enable timely containment and recovery
- Track machine utilization and drive reductions in planned and unplanned downtime
- Perform manufacturing ROI and cost trade analyses to optimize capital and process improvements
- Develop and implement tooling and statistical process control into production processes to improve reliability and reduce cost and lead time
Education
- BS degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline (required)
- Additional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Greenbelt) are beneficial but not required
