Senior HR Business Partner, Growth & Technology

Pomelo Care is a technology-driven maternal and newborn care startup working to improve outcomes for pregnant people and babies through evidence-based, scalable virtual care. We are hiring a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as the strategic people partner to our Growth & Technology teams, aligning people strategies to business goals, driving organizational performance, and building a strong culture of belonging in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees across Growth & Technology, providing strategic, data-informed people guidance.
  • Partner with leaders to design and execute organizational changes with minimal disruption to retention and operations.
  • Drive equitable and transparent performance review and calibration cycles that produce actionable feedback.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data (HR KPIs, surveys, interviews) to identify process improvements and implement solutions end-to-end.
  • Lead learning & development initiatives including career laddering, leveling guides, internal mobility, and upskilling programs.
  • Proactively support workforce planning, role design, and skill-building to meet evolving business needs.
  • Guide managers through complex employee relations matters in partnership with VP of People and Legal as needed.
  • Collaborate with the broader People team on cross-functional people initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
