Skills
- Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting experience
- Practical experience with ASC 606 (revenue) and ASC 842 (leases)
- Experience with NetSuite and familiarity with Stampli and GSuite
- Proficient Excel and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrated month-end close and consolidation experience
- Experience supporting external audits and internal controls
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate complex accounting issues
- Experience in payroll accounting and intercompany transactions
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead assigned month-end close tasks and maintain account reconciliations
- Account for capitalized software development costs and ASC 842 lease arrangements
- Support revenue recognition processes for renewable energy projects under ASC 606
- Document technical accounting matters and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Support external audit preparation, testing of key controls, and respond to audit requests
- Partner with payroll, project development, legal, and operations to capture financial impacts
- Act as backup reviewer for payroll accounting and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
