From our beginnings in 1952, our firm's founders encouraged all employees to get involved in charities and non-profits that support the communities in which we all live and work. This enduring vision has become a cornerstone of Aprio's culture. Today, our team members serve in leadership roles of non-profit boards or as volunteers, investing their time and sharing their experience with hundreds of organizations across the nation.
Our employee-led foundation
In 2016, we established an employee-led 501c (3) charitable foundation to maximize the impact of our collective charitable efforts. The Aprio Foundation promotes employee-directed service and giving. Through firm-wide service days, monthly volunteer activities, financial support and educational activities, the Aprio Foundation provides opportunities for employees to serve the community in ways that are meaningful to them.
How we give
TIME: It’s our most valuable resource, and our team members give it generously. Aprio provides time off for doing good. Conservation projects, assembling care packages, mentoring students –these are just a few of the organized volunteer activities that our members orchestrate and participate in regularly.
EDUCATION: Our team members are experts in many fields, and they eagerly share their knowledge and experience with our community partners. Aprio encourages its employees to provide education and expertise to resource-strapped non-profits. As part of that effort, we are launching a millennial board certification program that teaches young professionals how to effectively serve on non-profit boards.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Team members are encouraged to share their good fortune with those in need. For every dollar a team member gives to the Aprio Foundation the firm will match a percentage.
