American Express’ Internal Audit Group (IAG) is leading the financial services industry with our focus on data analytics, executional excellence, and support of the company through large scale risk-based changes as the American Express National Bank grows. Collectively, IAG’s critical initiatives, combined with our greatest asset – our people – enable IAG to use advanced data analysis capabilities, provide greater and continuous assurance, and help ensure quality products and services are provided to American Express customers. How will you make an impact in this role?
Those joining will develop operational internal audit skills through an internal audit focused project, which exposes the auditor to various portfolios within the third line. You will gain hands-on audit experience, where you will develop the ability to identify and evaluate risk, business process controls, and/or technology controls across American Express.
As a summer intern you'll have the opportunity to learn and apply our internal audit methodology, while gaining an understanding of the American Express business model. Further, you'll learn how to audit business processes with data, which may include the ideation of data analytics and analysis of the results of our patented Analytics Control Tests.

Salary Range: $24.05 to $63.00 hourly + sign-on bonus
