Major Accounts Manager, HVAC/Heat Pump and Home Electrification

Palmetto is a clean‑tech company building an end-to-end platform for whole‑home electrification, combining software, financing, and services to make renewable energy and advanced HVAC solutions accessible. The Major Accounts Manager, HVAC/Heat Pump and Home Electrification will own partner-facing growth for national platforms, OEMs, software providers, and large residential accounts—driving strategic GTM programs, negotiating commercial agreements, and enabling repeatable sales motions across Palmetto's products.

Skills

  • Deep HVAC segment expertise and knowledge of heat‑pump technologies.
  • Proven strategic account management and national/major accounts experience.
  • GTM planning and partnership development skills.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial contracting experience.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across partner organizations.
  • Excellent presentation, relationship‑building, and communication skills.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration with product, sales, and operations teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Networked within the HVAC ecosystem (builders, OEMs, distributors, software platforms).
  • Willingness to travel frequently for partner meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, manage, and grow major residential accounts (builders, developers, multi‑family managers, software platforms, OEMs, contractor groups).
  • Develop tailored solutions and repeatable GTM strategies that align with each account's needs and drive scalable adoption of Palmetto products.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service level agreements focused on long‑term partnership and mutual profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, engineering, and product teams to ensure seamless execution and high partner satisfaction.
  • Gather field-level feedback to inform product/platform improvements and partner enablement materials.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major account inquiries and maintain proactive, responsive communication.
  • Monitor residential HVAC and home‑electrification market trends and translate insights into strategic growth plans.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and performance evaluations to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Represent Palmetto at trade events, builder meetings, and networking functions to strengthen relationships and brand visibility.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (up to ~75%) as required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or ongoing professional development in HVAC, building systems, or sales a plus.
