Director of Care Operations

Pair Team is a mission-driven, tech-enabled medical group reimagining Medicaid to deliver whole-person care for underserved populations. They are seeking a Director of Care Operations to lead day-to-day management and scaling of their Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program, ensuring operational excellence, payer alignment, and strong cross-functional collaboration to improve outcomes for high-need patients.

Skills

  • Proven operations leadership in clinical or clinical-adjacent environments
  • P&L and unit economics management
  • Experience defining and driving KPIs and performance frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Change management and organizational design experience
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product, clinical, finance stakeholders
  • Experience with Medicaid, ECM, or value-based care environments (preferred)
  • Ability to lead remote teams and flex to PST schedule

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program to meet delivery targets
  • Grow, coach, and manage a multi-disciplinary care operations team including case managers, nurses, and behavioral health providers
  • Manage P&L and unit economics for the service line
  • Design and optimize workflows, processes, and staffing models to balance scalability, growth, and patient experience
  • Collaborate with product, clinical, finance, and growth partners to ensure operational readiness for new initiatives
  • Introduce and operationalize performance metrics to drive accountability aligned with organizational priorities
  • Lead change management efforts including reorganizations, KPI rollouts, and growth initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree (MPH, MBA, or related) preferred but not required
