Senior Financial Analyst - Technology
Job Description
***This is a hybrid role (4 days in office per week)- located in downtown Seattle, WA. We are not offering relocation for this position.
The Sr. Financial Analyst, Technology will be responsible for supporting the financial processes and cross-functional partnership across the Technology and Finance organizations. This role combines P&L insights through the month-end close/forecast and annual budget processes; and strategic partnership within the Technology organization to influence and support executive business decisions.
The successful candidate will be a curious self-starter with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, while balancing a strong attention to detail with business storytelling skills. The candidate will possess an aptitude for continuous improvement and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
A day in the life…
- Analyze and present Technology investment performance through reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure transparency and accountability
- Drive and execute capitalization process for labor and non-labor including partnering with Technology organization on establishing capitalization rates and labor tracking
- Manage key processes and provide business insights and storylines related to the monthly reporting of close results, forecast and the annual budget
- Partner across Technology, Finance and other corporate functions to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities, and develop financial models for new strategies
- Perform ad hoc analyses / special projects, synthesize, and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions
- Drive process optimization and efficiency initiatives to improve time to close and report

- 3+ years of related experience
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance, with a strong sense of curiosity
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle-Essbase, Anaplan, Tableau and/or SQL a plus
- Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction
- Experienced and a passion for driving continuous improvement work within team and with business partnerships
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
- Experience presenting to and collaborating with senior level stakeholders across the business (e.g. technology, product)
