Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

MSNBC is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Senior Vice President of MSNBC Digital, Audio, and Longform and the Senior Vice President of Content Strategy.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide meticulous and detailed executive assistance via daily calendar support, travel & expense management, email monitoring and other administrative and office management support
• Arrange meetings and coordinate facilities/equipment, prepare and circulate meeting materials including research and agendas, and communicate/follow up with attendees 
• Compose and prepare various correspondence, typically in high-pressure situations and under tight deadlines 
• Handle telephone contact with all levels of internal and external executive management and employees 
• Book travel and maintain travel itineraries
• Collect and process expense reports and ensure principals timely compliance with requirements 
• Assist in projects/communications for the departments the SVPs support as needed, including composing decks and other supporting materials 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
• 5+ years’ executive assistant experience supporting SVP level and above. 
• Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite, PowerPoint or similar programs 
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities for a high level executive 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with all levels of management 
• Excellent organization, detail orientated prioritization, time management and communication skills 
• Exceptional follow through 
• Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion 
• Proven written and communication skills 
• Self-starter, able to work independently and seek out answers & resources on own 
• Experience in media / news industry a plus
• Passion for news / politics a must

Additional Job Requirements: 

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. 

Onsite: This position has been designated as fully onsite, generally contributing from the office five days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
