District Sales Manager

Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) is a global automotive manufacturer focused on innovation, quality, and inclusive workplace culture. MMNA is hiring a District Sales Manager to act as a business consultant to franchised dealers across the New York Metro, Massachusetts, and Connecticut area to drive retail and wholesale vehicle and accessory sales while improving customer experience and dealer profitability.

Skills

  • Proven dealer relationship and territory management skills
  • Strong sales strategy and negotiation abilities
  • Experience analyzing sales data, market share, and inventory metrics
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and online dealership reputation tools
  • Training and coaching experience with dealership sales teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; comfortable with extensive travel

Responsibilities

  • Attain district wholesale and retail sales objectives and monitor performance against targets
  • Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with dealer principals, general managers, and department managers
  • Coordinate wholesale, retail vehicle, and accessory sales activities and enroll dealers in marketing programs
  • Analyze dealership sales, market penetration, and inventory levels and recommend strategies to maximize volume and profitability
  • Monitor dealer compliance with company policies, advertising, logo/website standards, and participation in programs
  • Train and coach dealer sales staff on Mitsubishi Academy, MiShowroom, MiDelivery and digital marketing best practices
  • Assist dealers with incentive payments, RDA/Co-op fund utilization, and resolving billing or program issues
  • Communicate regional policies and recommend corrective actions to regional management when non-compliance occurs
  • Coordinate district sales strategy with regional counterparts and participate in planning and implementation

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and automotive retail/wholesale experience accepted
