Under general supervision, the Academic Technology Specialist is primarily responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the use of the college’s learning management system (D2L Brightspace) and coordinating the integration of associated academic and instructional systems, software, and programs used to support and advance successful teaching and learning and equity and inclusion outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
1. Learning Management System (LMS) and Academic Technologies Administration and Support
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 70%
2. Academic Technology Innovation Support
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 15%
3. Academic Technology Training and Instruction
Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 10%
4. Other Duties as Assigned
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner. Pursue ongoing professional technical development through coaching and formal training.
