A Day In The Life
1. Pricing Strategy & Management
Lead new product introduction pricing strategies, tactics, and execution in partnership with Global Marketing, US Sales, and Pricing teams to achieve launch ASP and SGM objectives.
Oversee the development, execution, and governance of US pricing management and profitability improvement strategies for all Cardiac Surgery products.
Support the planning and execution of commercial pricing programs with field sales and customers.
Guide IDN/GPO pricing and contracting analyses and business plans with the Enterprise Accounts team for effective growth strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
2. Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead and contribute to strategic commercial initiatives across cross-functional teams and product lines, including strategic planning, problem formulation, data-driven decision-making, value creation, meeting facilitation, and regular communication with senior leadership.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across marketing, sales, pricing/contracting, finance, legal, supply chain, clinical evidence, and external partners to execute deliverables on time, on budget, and on scope.
Gain internal team and customer program buy-in by consistently communicating program objectives, deliverables, timelines, and status.
Engage in special projects as assigned.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Lead the US commercial inventory analyst team, fostering effective cross-functional collaboration and processes for managing product supply allocations with field sales and customers.
Actively develop commercial enablement pillar capabilities and support the growth and performance of individual team members (currently two direct reports).
Manage team priorities and ensure high performance.
4. Business Analytics and Value Proposition
Develop enterprise and target account customer profiles, business analytics, and scorecards to monitor contract/program status and business trends.
Develop and manage value analysis documentation and economic value propositions to support customer-facing programs for the Cardiac Surgery portfolio.
5. Innovation and Process Improvement
Maintain systems and practices that promote forward thinking and continuous business performance improvement.
Identify business and program implementation challenges and advance the most appropriate solutions.
Triage and respond to urgent business issues and opportunities as they arise.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years (5 years with advanced degree) of relevant experience in a marketing, sales and/or strategy role and 5+ years of managerial experience.
Nice to Have
Education:
Master’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a relevant field.
Program & Project Management:
Proven experience leading cross-functional programs or projects, ensuring effective coordination and execution across diverse teams.
Analytical and Creative Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated ability to analyze data from multiple sources, generate actionable insights, develop innovative concepts and business plans, and successfully implement them.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Track record of leading program development meetings with internal stakeholders and providing concise, accurate briefings to senior leadership.
Collaboration & Influence:
Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be assertive and influential in driving initiatives forward.
Pricing/Contracting, Supply Chain & Strategic Account Experience:
Previous experience in developing product pricing and contracting strategies, managing supply chain or inventory processes, and/or coordinating enterprise or strategic account contract and engagement activities.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
CRM Experience:
Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred) or other CRM systems.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with cardiac surgery products, the medical device industry, and healthcare systems.
