AI-First Growth Marketing Manager

Mission: Seattle Coffee Gear fuels coffee passion for customers everywhere. As the Growth Marketing Manager, you won’t just run a site—you’ll own a growth engine. You’ll architect a best-in-class digital platform on Shopify, scale high-impact programs, and deploy AI to multiply output, speed, and impact. This is a role for a business driver with a high motor, a product mindset, and a track record of turning insights into revenue.

You’ll report to the Director of Marketing and work cross-functionally with brand, merchandising, CX, engineering, and leadership to set the bar for performance and pace.

 

What you get to do every day:

·      Set the digital growth strategy and translate it into a prioritized, test-heavy roadmap that compounds revenue, margin, and CLV.

·      Be AI-first: design and implement automations and AI workflows that compress cycle times, scale personalization, and 10x team leverage.

·      Ship fast, measure faster: run continuous CRO and lifecycle experiments, and double down on what moves the P&L.

12-Month Scorecard (what great looks like):

·      Material lift in conversion rate, AOV, and repeat rate/CLV through on-site, merchandising, and lifecycle improvements.

·      Cost-to-serve reduction via AI-powered automations (content ops, merchandising ops, CX assist, QA, reporting).

·      2–3 new or scaled revenue streams (e.g., subscriptions, upgrade/trade-in, guided selling, financing bundles).

·      A documented AI operating system for digital (tools, prompts, workflows, governance) used daily across the team.


 

Digital Product & Platform (Shopify)

·      Own and evolve the Shopify ecosystem: site speed, UX/UI, navigation, PDP/PLP frameworks, checkout, apps, and integrations.

·      Build and maintain a living roadmap that balances quick wins with scalable platform bets.


Program Management (From Idea → Impact)

·      Launch and scale subscriptions, upgrade/trade-in programs, financing, guided selling, and other monetization initiatives.

·      Drive full program lifecycle: business case → build/partner plan → launch → iterate to target KPIs.


Conversion Rate Optimization & UX

·      Lead a relentless CRO program (hypothesis library, test cadence, statistical rigor) across landing pages, funnels, and checkout.

·      Partner with internal/external resources to ship high-velocity experiments and production-quality wins.


AI Strategy, Automation & Ops

·      Define and own the digital AI roadmap: choose the right tools (e.g., Custom GPTs, n8n/Make/Zapier, model-powered search, personalization).

·      Implement workflow automations for content generation, merchandising ops, QA/monitoring, analytics, and segmentation—measurably lifting output and quality.


Digital Marketing & Demand Generation

·      Co-own the demand plan across paid, organic, email/SMS, affiliates, and partnerships; align content with commercial moments and inventory.

·      Use trends, search data, and audience insights to shape content strategy that wins attention and converts.


Analytics & Performance Management

·      Own and evolve the digital scorecard: traffic quality, conversion, AOV, channel contribution, CLV, and contribution margin.

·      Create a comprehensive reporting framework that surfaces actionable insights weekly and quarterly—translating analytics into strategy and creative ideation.

·      Conduct deep-dive analyses across acquisition channels, lifecycle flows, and on-site behavior to uncover growth opportunities and drive prioritization.

·      Establish a continuous discovery loop between performance data, campaign strategy, and execution to ensure insights directly shape both digital strategy and content direction.

·      Partner cross-functionally to ensure reporting is embedded into all programs and decisions, not a downstream activity.


Innovation, Growth & Emerging Strategies

·      Pilot forward-leaning digital experiences (AI-guided shopping, shoppable content, dynamic bundling) that differentiate the brand and unlock growth.

·      Continuously scout and test emerging implementation strategies—from AI-driven merchandising to new automation frameworks—that can enhance scalability, personalization, and content velocity.

·      Translate these discoveries into structured experiments and business cases that move from prototype to production.

·      Serve as the connective tissue between discovery, content ideation, and digital implementation—ensuring new strategies are not just identified but operationalized across teams.

·      Digital Strategy & Platforms: Shopify ownership, UX/UI excellence, roadmap leadership.

·      Program Management: Subscriptions, upgrade/trade-in, new revenue streams.

·      Optimization & AI Integration: CRO at pace; AI strategy and automation embedded in daily work.

·      Demand Generation: Content and channel execution tied to business KPIs.

·      Analytics & Insights: Scorecard, attribution, and action-oriented reporting.

·      Innovation & Growth: Fast pilots, emerging strategy discovery, and durable advantage creation.

 


What you bring to the role:

·      6+ years in digital commerce/eCommerce/digital strategy with a proven record of moving the P&L.

·      Depth in Shopify (or equivalent), site performance, UX systems, and app/integration ecosystems.

·      Expertise in CRO, lifecycle/retention, and digital analytics; fluency with testing methodology and instrumentation.

·      AI-native operator: hands-on with tools like Custom GPTs, n8n/Make/Zapier, embeddings/search, prompt systems; you’ve shipped real automations.

·      Operator’s mindset: prioritization, pace, ownership; you turn noise into a clear plan and deliver.

·      Builder & uplifter: you improve the systems and raise the talent bar around you.
