We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and services that drive business value and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, as well as a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a collaborative environment.
Our Talent Productivity Engineering team is responsible for building, customizing, and integrating LinkedIn’s HR Enterprise Platforms and productivity tools that play a crucial part in managing human resources, payroll, performance, rewards, and financials. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full stack applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.
Lead technical initiatives, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Integrate with cloud platforms and third-party APIs, ensuring seamless interoperability and optimal performance.
Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technology roadmap of the organization.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation.
Manage projects end-to-end; build and execute detailed implementation plans, including design, build, QA/test, deploy, & support components.
Design, develop, test, troubleshoot and deploy custom Workday Extend applications to meet complex business requirements.
Collaborate with Workday Functional and Integrations Engineers, HR Technology Partners, Business stakeholders, and other technical and functional leads assessing requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Integrate Workday Extend applications with other enterprise systems using Workday APIs and web services.
Maintain and enhance existing Workday Extend solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Document technical specifications, wireframe designs, and application workflows and architecture.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure solutions are well reasoned and delivered with high-quality.
Stay current with Workday and Workday Extend updates, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the platform.
Provide technical support and guidance to other Workday Engineers, end-users, and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional experience in software development.
Experience with front-end technologies (such as React, TypeScript, Python (Flask), MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Angular, Vue.js etc.) and back-end frameworks (such as REST APIs, Node.js, Java, Python, or .NET).
Experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud computing concepts.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with Workday Extend, including building custom applications and integrations within the Workday ecosystem.
Familiarity with Workday Studio, Workday REST APIs, and Workday business processes.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, XSLT, HTML, and cloud application development.
Solid understanding of and hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Workday Integration Cloud, EIBs, BIRT and Workday Extend tools, including Workday Orchestration.
Understanding of Workday HCM fundamentals including core concepts like configurable security, integration security, business process workflow, and design, calc fields, report writing, etc.
Workday Extend Certification a plus.
Experience designing and deploying complex integrations leveraging Workday Orchestration for Integration (O4I) to manage multi-step workflows and business processes.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
Prior experience in enterprise SaaS environments or HRIS/ERP systems.
