Regional Clinical Director

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc. is a recognized leader in providing innovative services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities across Los Angeles County. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Clinical Director to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services across multiple locations. The Regional Clinical Director (RCD) provides leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to multiple behavioral health program sites within an assigned region. This role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering a collaborative clinical culture.

The Regional Clinical Director will oversee the clinical operations within a designated region, ensuring that all services are delivered in alignment with our mission to promote independence, inclusion, and personal growth of our participants. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, clients, and external stakeholders. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing regional strategies, overseeing the clinical training of staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership & Supervision:
      • Oversee clinical operations across multiple locations.
      • Provide direct supervision to Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, and Lead Clinicians.
      • Facilitate training, mentorship, and professional development.
    • Clinical Oversight:
      • Ensure adherence to clinical best practices and treatment fidelity.
      • Monitor documentation and compliance with state/federal regulations and accreditation bodies (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission).
      • Conduct audits and chart reviews; implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Quality Improvement:
      • Lead clinical quality initiatives and participate in performance improvement planning.
      • Analyze service data and outcomes; develop strategies to improve client care and service effectiveness.
    • Program Development & Collaboration:
      • Assist in designing and expanding clinical programming.
      • Collaborate with internal departments (HR, compliance, finance) and external stakeholders (healthcare providers, community partners).
      • Represent the organization at regional and state-level meetings.
    • Crisis Management & Risk Mitigation:
      • Support teams in responding to clinical crises and escalated client concerns.
      • Ensure timely incident reporting and follow-up.

Qualifications:

    • Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
    • Independent clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, etc.) required.
    • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with 3+ in leadership roles.
    • Experience with behavioral health regulations and managed care systems.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to travel regionally.

Preferred:

    • Experience managing multi-site operations.
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Bilingual capabilities (if relevant to the service region).

Salary:
