Area Sales Manager - Massachusetts

Own the State. Lead the Team. Drive the Growth.

Are you a strategic, people-first sales leader with deep experience in automotive finance? Do you excel at developing top-performing field teams and turning market potential into measurable growth? If so, Lendbuzz is looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead our state-level sales efforts and elevate our presence across a high-opportunity market.

In this role, you’ll oversee a field sales team, guiding them in driving dealer engagement, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional field execution. You’ll translate our national sales strategy into localized action—ensuring consistent, scalable growth across every metro and sub-region in the state.

Reporting to senior sales leadership, you will serve as the primary champion of production, dealer success, and team development in one of our most strategically important territories.

***Residence within or near the assigned geographic territory is required.***

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own overall state performance, ensuring execution against volume, growth, penetration, and retention targets.
  • Set clear expectations, rhythms, and sales processes that drive accountability and consistent success across the field.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor field sales team.
  • Conduct regular field rides, performance reviews, and skill development sessions to elevate team capability.
  • Analyze state-level trends, competitor activity, and dealer dynamics to identify opportunities.
  • Develop and execute localized strategies that maximize production across metro, suburban, and rural areas.
  • Guide your team in signing high-value dealerships, strengthening existing partnerships, and promoting Lendbuzz programs.
  • Step in to support escalations, high-impact opportunities, and key dealer relationships as needed.
  • Partner closely with underwriting, credit, inside sales, operations, and marketing to ensure a seamless dealer experience.
  • Help remove obstacles, streamline processes, and ensure clarity between the field and internal teams.
  • Use data-driven reporting and KPIs to assess team performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans.
  • Regularly review territory health, dealer performance, and pipeline opportunities with the field team.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Automotive Lending, F&I, Dealer Sales, or related fields—preferably with multi-territory or statewide oversight.
  • 5+ years proven success leading and developing a sales team, ideally in high-volume or high-growth environments.
  • Strong dealer network throughout the area, with a demonstrated ability to open doors and accelerate growth.
  • Hands-on leadership style — you coach in the field, not from behind a desk.
  • Highly strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable plans.
  • Data-driven mindset, comfortable reviewing KPIs and coaching the team through performance metrics with the ability to analyze trends and identify opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the state (up to 70–80%); must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.

What Success Looks Like
  • A high-performing, engaged statewide field team with strong retention, clear accountability, and consistent execution across all territories.
  • Scalable dealer growth driven through strategic market coverage, deeper penetration, and high-value partnerships across metro, suburban, and rural regions.
  • Sustained increases in state-level contract volume and market share, supported by strong team coaching, disciplined pipeline management, and effective territory plans.
  • A coaching-centered leadership culture rooted in field visibility, hands-on development, and continuous improvement.
  • Seamless alignment and communication between the field and senior leadership, ensuring statewide execution matches organizational strategy.
  • A reputation as a trusted leader who elevates team performance, strengthens dealer relationships, and sets the standard for market excellence at Lendbuzz.

$120,000 - $300,000 a year

If you’re a growth-driven leader who builds strong teams, drives operational excellence, and turns strategic vision into measurable impact, this role offers the opportunity to shape one of Lendbuzz’s most critical markets.
