HR Operations & Systems Manager

Kyo is a rapidly growing provider of ABA therapy serving families across multiple states. We are seeking an experienced HR Systems & Operations Manager to lead HR technology, automation, and operations efforts—balancing system administration, process improvement, analytics, and employee relations with a strong emphasis on California compliance.

Skills

  • HRIS administration (Paylocity preferred) and HR system integrations
  • Experience with AI automation tools and custom GPT workflows
  • Strong Excel/Sheets and data analytics skills; dashboard creation
  • Knowledge of California employment laws and multi-state compliance
  • Employee relations, investigations, and performance management experience
  • Project management and process improvement experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder partnership

Responsibilities

  • Administer Paylocity and other HRIS workflows, permissions, reporting, and integrations.
  • Design and implement automation solutions (AI tools, custom GPTs, chatbots, connectors) to reduce manual work.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to track turnover, engagement, performance, and other HR KPIs.
  • Manage system upgrades, data migrations, testing, security, and vendor/IT partnerships.
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, leaves, performance management, and consistent policy application.
  • Lead employee relations investigations, ADA accommodations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Create and standardize HR policies, procedures, and templates across states and departments.
  • Train HR team members and managers on policy interpretation, compliance, and best practices.
  • Monitor HR metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements; serve as CA employment law consultant.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (HR, Business, or related field preferred)
  • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
