Now, this is your chance to join our sales team and become an integral member of Kami's growth, shaping your future and having fun doing it!

The Opportunity

We're seeking a results-driven Inside Sales Representative to manage and grow a portfolio of small school and district accounts. In this role, you'll own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—while acting as a trusted advisor to educators and administrators. This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing team, with clear opportunities for career advancement as we scale. Successful Inside Account Representatives at Kami have the potential to grow into various roles as the company grows.

Persistence, resilience, and self-discipline are key requirements in this remote role. You must be based in the US, willing to travel, and eligible to work in the US.

What You'll Do

As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll drive revenue by expertly navigating the K-12 landscape. Your responsibilities include:

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly sales targets by employing strategic sales methodologies tailored to smaller school districts.
  • Owning the full sales cycle—from lead qualification to closed deals—leveraging inbound interest and proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Researching and qualifying district prospects, identifying key decision-makers (superintendents, principals, tech directors, curriculum leaders), and positioning Kami as a must-have solution.
  • Building and nurturing relationships using a multi-channel approach—email, phone calls, LinkedIn, video conferencing, and occasional in-person meetings.
  • Leading discovery calls to assess district needs, delivering tailored product demonstrations, and crafting compelling proposals to close new business.
  • Executing creative strategies to influence K-12 decision-makers and drive the adoption of Kami.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on expansion opportunities within existing accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships, and upselling complementary solutions. Managing a high-volume pipeline.
  • Recording, analyzing, and optimizing sales activities using our CRM and marketing automation tools to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Providing actionable feedback to Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership to refine sales strategies, messaging, and product positioning for the small/midsize district segment.
  • Representing Kami at state and national education conferences, with travel up to 25% during the school year, as needed.
  • Sharing your EdTech sales insights (and teaching experience if applicable) to enhance team learning and strategy development.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a driven, results-oriented individual ready to make a significant impact.

  • A positive, winning mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or selling directly to K-12 schools/districts.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quotas and delivering results in a high-volume, inside sales role.
  • Experience executing sales initiatives, including growing existing accounts and driving renewals/expansion.
  • Strong understanding of school district purchasing processes and the personas involved in K-12 purchasing decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust quickly and take a consultative sales approach.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, prospecting tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • A knack for asking smart discovery questions to uncover pain points and position solutions effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant EdTech or SaaS sales experience.
  • Bonus: K-12 teaching experience or previous work directly with educators.
