Software Onboarding Specialist (Remote - US)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Onboarding Specialist in the United States.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to guide new clients through the first 30 days of their software journey. This role is key in ensuring customers gain early successes, feel confident using the platform, and are set up for long-term impact. The ideal candidate thrives on building strong relationships, clearly communicating technical steps, and helping clients achieve their business goals. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment while shaping the onboarding experience and providing critical insights to product and customer success teams.

Accountabilities:

As a Software Onboarding Specialist, you will ensure a smooth and effective onboarding process for new clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead customer meetings, including ad-hoc calls, group training sessions, and follow-ups.
  • Clearly communicate the onboarding process and manage expectations throughout the customer journey.
  • Understand each client’s goals and tailor onboarding plans to meet expected ROI.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding scheduled calls, questions, and resources.
  • Monitor customer progress and provide proactive check-ins as needed.
  • Identify and escalate any obstacles in the onboarding process.
  • Document the customer journey thoroughly in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide product feedback, feature requests, and report bugs.
  • Participate actively in company and departmental meetings and initiatives.

Candidates should combine strong customer-facing skills with technical competency. Essential qualifications include:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Customer Success, Onboarding, Account Management, or related roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable leading virtual meetings and training sessions.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and computer-competent with experience using software tools.
  • Ability to travel 1–2 times per year for company off-site meetings (typically 2 days in Nashville, TN).
  • Must reside in Mountain, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Background in home services, real estate, or outbound sales.
  • Familiarity with CRMs, FSMs, Hubspot, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments.
