Software Engineer 4

This role focuses on leading the design, development, and maintenance of a core UI component library that powers multiple web applications. You will architect scalable and reusable React components, streamline developer workflows, and ensure seamless integration with modern frameworks and content management systems. The position offers an opportunity to influence both frontend and backend architectures while contributing to the migration from legacy systems to cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including content, engineering, and DevOps, to build high-quality, performant, and content-driven user interfaces. This is an ideal role for an experienced full-stack engineer passionate about modern web development, best practices, and enhancing developer experience.

• Accountabilities:
• Architect, develop, and maintain a React component library serving marketing pages, authenticated portals, and checkout flows.
• Design and implement component APIs that scale across Gatsby, Astro, and Next.js applications.
• Establish and enforce component design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
• Create and maintain Storybook documentation and interactive playgrounds for developer adoption.
• Implement automated testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and visual regression testing.
• Design and develop content-driven components integrated with Contentful CMS.
• Collaborate with content, engineering, and DevOps teams to define component schemas and ensure smooth integration.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, semantic versioning, and release management for component deployments.
• Utilize GenAI tools, IDE assistants, and developer tooling to enhance productivity and code quality.

• Requirements:
• 6+ years of full-stack development experience with strong expertise in the React ecosystem.
• Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Deep understanding of React patterns, hooks, context, SSR/SSG, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Next.js, Gatsby, Astro, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including CloudFront, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI, npm package management, and monorepo architectures.
• Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Practical knowledge of Contentful CMS and content-driven component development.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency using modern GenAI tools (Copilot, chat agents, IDE assistants) to enhance development efficiency.
