• Design, implement, and maintain microservices-heavy backend systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Build and optimize APIs and recommendation systems that surface model outputs effectively.
• Develop real-time data processing pipelines using frameworks such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams to shape feature development and platform roadmap.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code by advocating for engineering best practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Research emerging technologies and iteratively implement them to improve platform performance and scalability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to peers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

• 5+ years of experience developing backend systems with microservices architecture in cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building recommendation systems and APIs for model output delivery.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Familiarity with real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Highly results-driven with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
• Bonus: Interest in sports, experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK).
