Digital Phenotyping Sr Engineer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the deployment and optimization of advanced digital phenotyping platforms that transform how phenotypic data is collected and leveraged for genetic improvement programs. The role is fully remote within the United States with occasional travel.

• Accountabilities:
• Deploy, implement, and support high-throughput digital phenotyping platforms for agricultural and genetic applications.
• Optimize data acquisition workflows from farm to computing resources, including edge and cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with genetics, animal science, and supply chain teams to integrate and scale new phenotyping technologies.
• Support research initiatives to evaluate and improve digital tools for data collection and analysis.
• Communicate technical findings and provide actionable insights to management and stakeholders.
• Stay current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and precision livestock farming technologies.
• Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Agriculture/Biosystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in statistics, signal processing, time series data, and machine learning.
• Proficiency with Python, scripting languages, SQL databases, and MS Office suite; experience with other relevant software platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate large datasets accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in remote work environments and willingness to travel up to 20%.
