We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to join a distributed, high-impact engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale backend systems that support millions of users while owning key product and technical initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex engineering challenges, and help deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance services. Accountabilities:

·        Develop and deploy new backend features, products, and integrations.

·        Design scalable, resilient systems to support large-scale usage.

·        Take ownership of critical product and engineering objectives from conception to production.

·        Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers across distributed teams.

·        Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, and documentation.

·        5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, preferably in data-intensive or financial/crypto-related systems.

·        Strong computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems.

·        Expertise with backend technologies including databases, messaging systems, orchestrators, and data pipelines.

·        Hands-on experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production systems in high-growth or early-stage environments.

·        Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and experience in remote collaboration.

·        Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·        Passion for mission-driven work and ability to deliver measurable impact.

·        Competitive salary range: $175,000 - $210,000 USD, location-independent.
