As a Senior Engineering Manager in Home Lending, you will lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on developing innovative consumer lending solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the next-generation home equity lending platform, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-quality systems. Working closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will drive the execution of impactful projects that improve borrower experiences. Your role will combine technical leadership, team development, and strategic project management to deliver measurable business outcomes. You will foster a collaborative and inclusive culture while mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions. • Accountabilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop an engineering team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of full-stack systems for home lending products.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability, applying best practices in software engineering.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with broader business objectives.
• Partner with product, design, operations, analytics, compliance, and legal teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business and regulatory needs.
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and resources, implementing frameworks to ensure efficient execution and continuous delivery.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years on product-focused teams.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering management or leading technical teams.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages and full-stack development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and mentoring skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to continuous learning.
