Engineering Manager, Site Reliability (SRE)

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of production services. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve operational issues while improving service availability and customer experience. You will manage and grow a team of SRE professionals, develop processes for incident response, and implement best practices for monitoring, alerting, and automation. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

• Accountabilities:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing SRE team, setting performance goals and evaluating outcomes against key metrics.
• Develop, implement, and refine processes for incident management, post-incident analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to address performance, capacity, and reliability issues.
• Establish and maintain best practices for monitoring, alerting, SLO/SLI design, and automation to reduce toil and improve system reliability.
• Analyze production metrics and system signals to proactively identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
• Drive operational excellence through data-driven triage, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective communication of priorities and outcomes.
• Partner with external-facing teams such as Support, Customer Success, and Sales Engineering to ensure service reliability and operational alignment.
• Requirements:
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience leading technical and operational teams, managing complex distributed systems, and scaling engineering processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions.
• Experience with cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and observability tools, including SLOs, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Hands-on experience with incident response and management across complex systems and applications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing operational priorities and strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to engage cross-functional teams effectively.
