Retail Operations Manager – Multi-Client Field Leadership (Denver, CO)

📍 Denver, CO | 💼 Full-time | 💲 $56,485 – $84,000/year + full benefits

Up to 80% travel required


A nationally recognized retail solutions company is hiring a Retail Operations Manager (ROM) to lead a field-based retail merchandising and sales team across a designated region. In this role, you will oversee multiple client programs, manage a large team of retail associates, and serve as a key point of contact between national brands and major retail partners.


You’ll play a critical role in executing store-level retail initiatives and optimizing operational performance through people leadership, process improvement, and client relationship management.


🔧 What You’ll Do


  • Lead a high-performing team of field merchandisers and retail associates across assigned territories
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to execution, scheduling, in-store performance, and compliance
  • Oversee regional routing plans and project implementation logistics
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate team members using performance tools and assessments
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives
  • Manage operating budgets, forecast expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze retail reporting and performance data to generate insights and strategic improvements
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and key retail partners
  • Ensure alignment with national strategies, standards, and program objectives
  • Travel frequently to stores and team locations (up to 80% of the time)


What You Bring


  • 5+ years of retail or field operations leadership experience
  • 1–3 years of experience managing budgets, forecasts, and client expectations
  • Proven success in managing field teams or merchandisers
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach and lead large, geographically dispersed teams
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for data-driven decision-making
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods (as required during field visits)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly
