Senior Security Engineer (Presales) - Northwest region (San Francisco, CA)
Skills
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies (firewalls, DLP, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, SASE, CWPP, CSPM, AppSec)
- Strong networking and security fundamentals (routing, segmentation, NAT, zones)
- Deep familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, regular expressions)
- Practical experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices
- Consultative/professional services or presales experience and strong customer-facing skills
- Familiarity with advanced security architectures (Defense in Depth, Zero Trust)
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout engagements and presales cycles
- Design, implement, and operationalize security controls across networks, endpoints, cloud, and application environments
- Provide technical product recommendations and architecture guidance to solve customer cybersecurity challenges
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear messaging for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Produce business and technical collateral, proposals, and solution architectures tailored to client audiences
- Prioritize and manage a portfolio of projects and customer engagements in a fast-paced environment
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and proof-of-concept testing of security technologies
- Support customer/vendor meetings and events (approximately 25% local travel; work from home remainder of the time)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Relevant industry certifications preferred (CISSP, GIAC, vendor certifications)
