About the role
Avalere Health is seeking an Associate Principal or Principal to join its Policy Analytics group. Avalere’s Policy Analytics group provides analytic support and advisory services to a wide range of clients across the US healthcare industry. Staff combine an in-depth understanding of quantitative methods with deep subject-matter expertise regarding US healthcare policy and business issues.
This group focuses on a range of issues including:
· Medicare & Medicaid payment policies and regulations
· Alternative Payment Models (e.g., ACO models, bundled payments)
· Federal budget forecasting and scoring models
· Drug pricing reform
· Health sector economic analysis and trends
This position would focus primarily on Medicare Advantage, engaging on payment, quality, benefit design, competitive environment, regulatory, and legislative developments. The ideal candidate will have some direct experience analyzing Medicare Advantage data (e.g., encounter data, plan benefit package data), with a strong desire to build subject matter expertise in these areas. While the position will concentrate primarily on Medicare Advantage and Part D issues, it will also leverage subject matter expertise across the full range of Avalere’s health policy issues.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated strong business, analytics, and communication skills in client-facing roles, with prior experience conducting designing and conducting data-driven.
