Security Architect - Heartland region (Remote in Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex)

GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, privately-held cybersecurity firm advising Fortune 500 and government organizations. They are seeking a Security Architect based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex to support Account Executives across the Heartland region by providing presales architectural guidance, designing enterprise security solutions, evaluating emerging technologies, and helping develop and mature service offerings.

Skills

  • Deep proficiency in network security and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security across major cloud providers
  • Data security and data protection experience
  • Vulnerability and risk management expertise
  • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) experience
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) knowledge
  • SIEM and security analytics experience
  • Enterprise-scale security solution architecture
  • Client-facing presales and presentation skills
  • Experience building service offerings and supporting collateral

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to drive new business opportunities across the Heartland region
  • Provide architectural guidance and product recommendations for prospects and customers
  • Design and recommend secure configurations for enterprise environments
  • Collaborate with engineering to create and refine security service offerings
  • Research and engage with emerging vendors and technologies to solve client challenges
  • Author technical and business collateral tailored to technical and managerial audiences
  • Translate complex technical concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work remotely with client visits as needed and travel up to 25% within the region
  • Focus primarily on presales activities (~90%) with limited delivery responsibilities (~10%)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS/GSEC) highly desirable
  • Previous presales or client-facing consulting experience strongly preferred
