Job Description
 

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.

The Workplace Specialist I plays a critical role in supporting and executing move activities across the Gilead portfolio. This position collaborates closely with the Workplace team, project stakeholders, move administrators, and vendors to ensure seamless planning and execution of both capital project-related and ongoing weekly moves. The specialist is responsible for maintaining data integrity within the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS), supporting AutoCAD updates, and ensuring furniture installations align with workplace standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate move activities for capital projects, including group relocations and space reconfigurations.

  • Manage weekly move operations, aligning with policy, budget, and vendor coordination.

  • Oversee and maintain move activity records within IWMS, ensuring accurate execution and reporting.

  • Build strong relationships with move admins, providing regular updates and training through Workplace Office Hours.

  • Maintain and update floor plans and space data in IWMS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Utilize AutoCAD to support move requests and project needs, including drawing updates and space planning.

  • Support data validation efforts in collaboration with Data Stewards.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in furniture installation and configuration.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong initiative and desire to grow within Workplace Operations.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with IWMS platforms.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Background in furniture systems and installation is a plus.


 

The salary range for this position is: $94,945.00 - $122,870.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
