Executive Assistant – GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy

Job Description Summary

In this role, you will provide administrative support to GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH)’s Advanced Nuclear business Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You will work collaboratively with internal team members and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization to facilitate key team activities and projects. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and customer focus is highly valued.

This position demands exceptional organizational competence, acute attention to detail, and adept communication abilities as you contribute to advancing the objectives of our Advanced Nuclear Business. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage multiple priorities, exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving, and navigate unforeseen challenges with grace. Upholding professionalism, integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information is paramount.

Additionally, in this role you will foster seamless collaboration with fellow Executive Assistants across the organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Interface with high level customers, regulators, auditors, suppliers, and other internal and external parties. Appropriately handle inquiries and exercise appropriate judgment in escalating issues to team members or leaders as need.
  • Organize work in preparation for operating mechanisms and meetings including document preparation, documenting meeting outcomes, and follow up actions and file management.
  • Manage complex calendar and scheduling activities.
  • Manage complex domestic and international travel, and expense report coordination and submission.
  • Develop, organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meetings; all employee meetings; off-sites; and team events).
  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables. Lead special projects as requested.
  • Draft correspondence for manager’s final approval; compose routine emails to send out under own signature.
  • Develop and edit presentations for strategic, operating and financial reviews.
  • Partner with other Administrative Assistants throughout the team and across the company.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for our Advanced Nuclear business’ administrative assistant team. Facilitate the development of skills proficiency among team members. May handle sensitive issues within the GVH Nuclear administrative team.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least 7 years of full-time clerical/administrative experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting executive leaders and their teams.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to operate a computer proficiently.
  • Ability to work in-person at the GE Vernova facilities in Wilmington, NC.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside of regular business hours.

Desired Characteristics

  • Outstanding organization skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple assignments. Manages time and tasks effectively, while maintaining a commitment to long-term goals.
  • Experience with executive level calendar management.
  • Experience with domestic and international travel coordination.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, including strong proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong written communication skills including document writing and editing.
  • Project and program management including completion of deliverables, organizing events, and following up on outstanding items.
  • Ability to work in a highly ambiguous and fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working with executives, both in-person and virtually.
  • Knowledge of GE policies / procedures or experience in similar large company environments.
  • Relevant professional training and/or 4-year college degree.

The base pay range for this position is $77,000 to $115,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday August 15th

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
