Human Resource Business Operations Representative

Overview

Electric Boat (EB) Human Resources (HR) Business Operations Team is reviewing candidates interested in an HR Business Operations Representative role providing fundamental support to EB employees by processing Business and Extended Travel, Leave Management and HR Contract Support work.  These activities include but are not limited to support of all parts of business travel, leave management and HR Contract Support work.  This position reports to the HR Business Operations Manager. 

 

A travel, leave management and HR contract support role combines these three unique positions together.

  • Corporate travel management oversees all travel aspects including but not limited to; Booking Travel, Travel Policy, Extended Travel, Travel contract maintenance and GD Travel Committee support.
  • Leave management supports employees when processing a Personal Leave, Military Leave, FMLA Leave, Short Term Disability (STD), Termination and Unemployment support and maintenance. This role would support the processing of employees throughout our Leave Management and Severance tools. 
  • HR contract support work would support in any future HR RFP designs for new products, contract negotiation for product renewals and extra support as required for Vendor Management.

 

This individual should be a candidate who can:

  • Engage in 100% customer service with EB employees
  • Partner with vendors to ensure clear, aligned communications
  • Maintain, enhance, and improve upon HRBO team support
  • Give clear, precise answers to employees and the vendors as it applies to EB policies and guidelines for business travel, leave management and HR contract support work
  • Work with empathy, agility, and strong communication skills to support employees
  • Issue and develop reports as needed using Microsoft Products
  • Use vendor and EB developed tools to analyze data in support of future business changes to enhance the employee experience

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Plays a key role within the HR Business Operations team supporting the company’s and team goals
  • Interpretation of EB’s Business Travel and extended stay travel procedures and guidelines
  • Interpret policy deviations and violations, with an understanding for business impacts, employee impacts, and tax issues for the employee
  • Work within several group email boxes to support completion of all questions/concerns
  • Support in collection/distribution of any over/under payments for extended travel
  • Support Travel functions as needed with the GD Travel Committee
  • Oversee and understand all HR Travel contracts including the Travel Agency contract
  • Understand, develop, maintain all Concur Travel work as required
  • Support with the EB Travel Website
  • Support for processing leave, severance and unemployment work through various tools
  • HR Contract support with RFP development, SOW oversight and SLA conversations with HR vendors

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of work in Human Resources, Business Travel, Leave Management, HR Contract Management or Data Analysis
  • Experience in data analysis and reports 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Experience in Customer Service 
  • Experience in Data driven business decision analysis
