At Firstup, we are redefining the digital employee experience.  We make communication solutions that build authentic engagement and create two-way conversation between employees and companies. We cannot redefine the digital employee experience without accomplishing this first at our own company.

At the heart of the digital employee experience is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. When a company embraces DEI, it drives new ideas and diversity of thought, helping us innovate faster and drive our business forward. DEI helps employees feel safe, allowing them to bring their whole selves to work. This ultimately creates an environment of respect and connection. And, DEI helps us all be more empathetic - leading to open communication, improved leadership and higher engagement levels. 

Our DEI Offerings - Wellness: We offer competitive benefits that provide access to free mental health resources, including a U.S. and UK employee assistance program. We recognize that burnout and mental health should be a priority. That is why we continue to offer Nextup Distance Days. One day a month, the entire company shuts down. Distance Days allows us to truly take a step back and disconnect.  Finally, in case someone needs a push to take a vacation, we offer the “fruity drink bonus.” If an employee takes five consecutive days off in a row, they will receive a monetary bonus. 

Our Offerings - Education & ERGs: To help us better understand our employees, we offer “Daring Discussions,” a series of reocurring meetings to promote social justice at Firstup and across our wider communities. We tackle tough conversations on race, LGBTQ and gender. There is also an employee-led DEI Council that offers programs and thought leadership. Finally, we offer an open DEI topic in our communications platform, Nextup. All employees can share stories, education and thoughts on DEI with their colleagues.
