Client Support Specialist

Full-Time Exempt Direct Hire
Remote in the United States (must be able to work PST, CST or EST time zone hours)
$40-58k Annual Salary

We’re a fast-growing, fully remote healthcare organization on a mission to improve access to care—and we know our people make that possible. As we expand, we are adding a new role to our leadership team. We are seeking a Client Support Specialist who will serve as the primary contact for patients and families, providing empathetic support with scheduling, intake, billing, and insurance needs. This role educates patients on services and platform use, resolves issues promptly, documents interactions accurately, and partners with internal teams to address complex concerns—ensuring efficiency, satisfaction, and seamless care continuity.

The Client Support Specialist is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for patients and families via phone, email, and chat; assisting with scheduling, intake, billing, and insurance questions; educating patients on services, platform use, and treatment next steps; troubleshooting issues with empathy and accuracy; documenting all interactions in the CRM/EHR; and escalating complex concerns to clinical, billing, or technical teams as needed.

What You Would Be Doing at Expressable

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families via phone, email, and chat

  • Support patients through scheduling, intake, billing, and insurance questions

  • Educate patients on available services, platform use, and treatment next steps

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly with empathy and accuracy

  • Document all interactions in our CRM/EHR with attention to detail

  • Escalate complex issues to clinical, billing, or technical teams as needed

  • Contribute feedback on processes, workflows, and tools to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction

What You Bring to Expressable

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1–2 years in customer or patient support, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or telehealth.

  • Proficiency with CRM/EHR systems, scheduling platforms, and communication tools (email, chat, phone).

  • Understanding of HIPAA, PCI compliance, and insurance terminology (EOBs, CTP Codes, Diagnosis Codes, Deductibles, Co-Pays).

  • Experience with HIPAA-compliant systems and handling protected health information.

  • Familiarity with health insurance processes (eligibility, claims, billing).

  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment with cross-functional teams.

  • Bi-Lingual Communication Skills (English/ Spanish) - highly preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This is a sedentary, remote position that primarily involves working at a computer or tablet for telecommunications and documentation. The role requires the ability to remain seated for extended periods, operate standard office equipment, communicate effectively via video and audio platforms, and review electronic information. Occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds may be necessary. Work is performed in a home office environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
