Support Specialist (Bilingual - English/Spanish)

NMI is a payments technology platform that empowers SMBs, fintech startups, and entrepreneurs with flexible payment solutions. The Bilingual Support Specialist (English/Spanish) will provide first-level technical and customer support for merchants and integrated partners, handling inquiries related to terminals, NMI payment applications, monthly statements, and deposit reconciliation, while collaborating across teams to ensure an excellent merchant experience.

Skills

  • Fluent English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Technical troubleshooting for payments/terminals
  • Phone and email customer support experience
  • CRM / ticketing system proficiency
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Creative problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in an evolving remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound merchant and partner requests via phone and email, including complex inquiries
  • Troubleshoot terminals, NMI payment applications, and monthly statement/deposit reconciliation issues
  • Document every client interaction and issue in tracking systems
  • Communicate operational concerns and clear resolution timelines to clients
  • Identify and escalate trends and recurring issues across the department
  • Maintain deep product and service knowledge to resolve client concerns effectively
  • Work with internal teams to root-cause issues and implement corrective actions
  • Meet quality and productivity performance goals
  • Conduct basic product/service training for incoming peers and act as a lead for complex inquiries

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College coursework or degree preferred
