Sales Executive (Energy)

Energy Exemplar is a global leader in energy market and power-system modeling software (PLEXOS®, Aurora, Adapt2), focused on enabling decarbonization and smarter energy decisions. We are seeking a dynamic, autonomous Sales Executive to drive new business and expand our footprint in the greater Pennsylvania region, owning the full sales cycle and collaborating with regional and technical teams to close enterprise accounts in utilities, renewables, and related sectors.

Skills

  • Proven enterprise software sales experience with a consistent quota attainment record
  • Domain knowledge selling into utilities, energy, renewables, or oil & gas
  • Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce or HubSpot) and pipeline management
  • Ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes and negotiate contracts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable traveling as required for customer meetings and events

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities across greater Pennsylvania
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract close, acting as primary sales lead
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Collaborate with Regional VP (East), Customer Success, marketing, and technical teams for account planning, demos, and value delivery
  • Execute targeted outbound campaigns and multi-level outreach to decision makers
  • Support customer health checks and business value reviews to surface upsell/expansion opportunities
  • Perform market research to identify new prospects and service opportunities
  • Meet or exceed assigned personal financial sales targets

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
  • Advanced degree in business, energy, engineering, or related field is a plus
