  • Collaborate with data engineers and AI specialists to integrate APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning models into web applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipeline automation to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Assist in developing secure, accessible, and scalable solutions that meet state and federal compliance standards.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in coordination with DevOps and QA teams.
  • Stay up to date with emerging tools, frameworks, and AI technologies relevant to public-sector innovation.
  • Assist in building and testing user interfaces that comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 accessibility standards, ensuring inclusive and equitable user experiences.
  • Support development and deployment of multilingual and metadata-driven components that enhance the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR) of state data and AI assets.
  • Participate in sandbox testing and phased rollout activities to validate new features, accessibility compliance, and security performance before production deployment.
  • Contribute to secure coding practices, privacy protection, and Zero Trust implementation under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data exchange and model integrations meet ethical AI and transparency requirements.
  • Help monitor system performance and maintain compliance documentation, including audit logs and release notes for governance review.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience (including internships or academic projects) in full stack development.
  • Proficiency with at least one front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and one back-end environment (Node.js, Express, Django, or Flask).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of Git-based version control and Agile development practices.
  • Foundational understanding of accessibility and inclusive design standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
  • Awareness of FAIR data principles and their application in public-sector digital solutions.
  • Demonstrated interest in ethical AI, responsible development, and privacy-preserving design practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US.Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Terraform) or automation frameworks.
  • Prior exposure to government projects, data governance, or public-sector compliance standards (e.g., ADA, NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Experience building or testing accessible interfaces with multilingual support and compliance validation.
  • Familiarity with FAIR-aligned metadata or open data standards (e.g., DCAT, CKAN, or schema.org).
  • Exposure to sandbox or pilot testing environments within Agile or DevSecOps pipelines.
