Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure (Remote - US)

As a Software Engineer on the Data Infrastructure team, you will design, build, and maintain large-scale distributed data systems that support analytics, AI/ML pipelines, and business intelligence across the organization. You will develop both batch and streaming solutions, ensuring that data is reliable, efficient, and scalable for engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers, product engineers, and business analysts, to translate complex data needs into high-quality, high-performance infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to influence technical direction, improve data quality, and help shape the foundation of AI-powered products. Your work will directly impact the company’s ability to make data-driven decisions at scale.

Accountabilities:

·         Design and build distributed data systems for analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence.

·         Develop batch and streaming pipelines to manage data ingestion, processing, and movement across core platforms.

·         Ensure high data reliability, consistency, and performance across all systems.

·         Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

·         Drive technical best practices for data infrastructure, including orchestration, storage, and processing.

·         Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

·         5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or infrastructure development.

·         Proven experience designing and building distributed data infrastructure at scale.

·         Strong expertise in batch and streaming processing technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, or Dagster.

·         Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.

·         Experience collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into reliable systems.

·         Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

·         Bonus: Experience with AI/ML pipelines, Golang, Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, or Dagster.

·         Ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership, and drive projects end-to-end.

·         Competitive base salary ($149,000–$350,000 USD, depending on location, experience, and role level).
