The Role
We are looking for our first Inside Sales Lead to establish and scale Eight Sleep’s inside sales function. This isn’t just about closing deals - it’s about designing the playbook for how we bring a premium, high-consideration consumer product to market through consultative selling. You will build the infrastructure, processes, and metrics for inside sales from scratch, while also carrying a quota and directly engaging with customers.
This is a foundational role: you’ll partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience leadership to define how we convert interest into delighted members, and you’ll set the bar for every future hire on the team.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Build from zero-to-one: Develop the entire inside sales motion, including CRM setup, sequences, talk tracks, objection handling, and reporting dashboards.
Run high-quality consultations: Guide prospective customers through phone/Zoom sessions, diagnosing sleep needs and tailoring the right Pod configuration, accessories, and subscription plan.
Own the funnel end-to-end: Manage inbound leads with speed and rigor; nurture, qualify, and close; coordinate clean handoffs to Delivery and CX.
Be the expert: Master Eight Sleep’s product and sleep science, translating features into outcomes that resonate with premium buyers.
Establish KPIs and playbooks: Define and track performance metrics (speed-to-lead, conversion, attach rates, cycle time, NPS).
Close & expand: Drive attach on subscriptions, accessories, extended protection, and financing utilization.
Iterate fast: Continuously refine the sales process based on data and feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
3–6+ years of consultative consumer sales experience (premium products, wellness/fitness, connected devices, or DTC a plus).
Proven success building or refining a sales process from scratch (founding hire or early-stage startup experience a strong plus).
Skilled communicator with strong discovery, storytelling, and objection-handling abilities.
Self-starter comfortable building systems and processes from scratch.
Comfortable in a high-intensity, zero-to-one environment where speed and execution matter.
Compensation:
Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 base, plus uncapped commission and equity, depending on experience and qualifications.
