This role is ideal for a dynamic marketer with deep experience in digital-to-retail, seasonal merchandising, and brand building, who can lead transformation and deliver measurable growth.
What You’ll Lead
As the Lead Director, you will own the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive trips, conversion, and margin across seasonal, gift, and general merchandise categories. You’ll build high-performing team and cross-functional partners to deliver integrated marketing strategies that resonate with consumers and differentiate CVS in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Ownership & Growth Delivery
Architect and lead end-to-end seasonal marketing strategies that drive traffic, sales, and margin across major and minor events.
Define and evolve the positioning of owned seasonal brands, including packaging and in-store experience, to build consumer relevance and trust.
Partner with Merchandising to embed health & wellness narratives into general merchandise and seasonal assortments.
Manage Execution & Optimization
Design full-funnel customer journeys across paid, owned, and earned channels, with emphasis on store and digital integration.
Build and execute go-to-market test plans, learning agendas, and performance optimization strategies.
Collaborate with Media, Creative, Digital, Store Ops, and Legal to ensure flawless execution and field readiness.
Leadership & Influence
Lead a team of seasoned marketers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous development.
Serve as a trusted advisor across the enterprise, aligning stakeholders around shared goals and measurable outcomes.
Establish KPIs in partnership with Insights & Analytics and drive a data-informed approach to decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven track record in leading marketing strategies in retail or consumer goods.
Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate consumer insights into business-driving actions.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing at senior levels.
Passion for innovation, storytelling, and delivering impact at scale.
Travel Requirement
Up to 25% travel expected.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.
5+ years cross-functional leadership experience.
5+ years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience.
5+ years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA welcomed.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
